Designed to promote students’ growth into successful, well-rounded individuals, SONYC STRIDE is a free program offered to any child in grades 6 through 8 who attends middle school in NYC.

We encourage critical thinking, independent decision-making, and the development of healthy social interactions with one’s peers. Our holistic and comprehensive approach offers the right balance of academics, arts, leadership, sports and recreation. 

Participants must attend the program at least three days a week. Parental involvement is a critical element to the enrollment process and success of the STRIDE program. Program hours are the academic year, Monday – Friday from 3-6PM.
