University Settlement’s Prevention Program addresses and combats the root causes of foster care, applying an evidence-based support model to partner with families as they step out of poverty and toward their goals.

We are based at University Settlement’s Children’s Corner Early Childhood Education Center, located in East New York. In this work, we specifically acknowledge the effects of systemic racism while partnering with families to respond to oppression, poverty, and trauma.

As New Yorkers continue to navigate a period of historic and traumatic crisis, we are here to quickly fill existing gaps in care.
