With state-of-the-art recreational and educational facilities, and plenty of flexible space, University Settlement at the Houston Street Center is a unique community resource for longtime residents and recent arrivals alike.
We offer swimming and fitness programs, a dynamic after-school program, free social events, diverse courses, even an art gallery. The 44,000-square-foot location provides services for community members of all ages.
The Houston Street Center also has high-quality, low-cost meeting rooms, conference rooms, and training and recreational space available for one-time, short-term or long-term rental. All rental proceeds help underwrite the cost of University Settlement’s programs for the individuals and families of the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy and Loisaida.
