Vita Taurke

Vita Taurke is a dance artist and writer from New York City. She uses stillness, text, video, and movement to create work that conjures an intensity of presence amidst a lost sense of time. She is currently working with themes of grief, loneliness, disappearance, and rebirth. Her work has been presented at Movement Research at Judson Church, Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX), Secret Project Robot, Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Bard Chapel of the Holy Innocents, the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, and the ACDA. (photo credit: Rachel Keane)
