University Settlement is pleased to announce that it will honor the Viking Global Foundation, the charitable arm of Viking Global Investors, at its annual gala City Stories: A Place to Grow, taking place at Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side on Wednesday May 3, 2023.
The Viking Global Foundation will receive University Settlement’s Charles B. Stover Award. Named for one of University Settlement’s founders, an activist who spent his life advocating for and meaningfully achieving social reform in New York City, the award honors individuals and organizations who bring real change to their communities.

VGF’s investment of their time, capital, and the skills of its professionals has been integral to the success of our efforts to build community strength in Brooklyn and on the Lower East Side over the last five years.”
