Kenneth Keng

Kenneth Keng Kenneth Keng steals ideas from their lonely childhood, puts them in plays and then pretends to be surprised when their daddy issues come out. Some of the plays they’ve written and subsequently staged with the help of incredibly talented production teams include one with giant robots (Going Up), one with giant swords (Wake Up) and another with a giant hawk (Time’s Up), because subtext is for cowards and titles are hard. Their solo work has been staged at the Kraine and the Tank theaters. They have taught adapting Shakespeare to teens at the Abrons Arts Center and Lincoln Hospital under the Oye Group and Guns Down Life Up, as well as creative writing to senior citizens as part of Sarah Lawrence College’s Lunchbox Theatre program. As a senior member of the Silly People’s Improv Theater they have performed in a dozen cities around the world and co-produced the Manila Improv Festival series, Asia’s largest. Their English is so good ‘cause they lost the war.
