As one of the nation’s first arts in health organizations, The Creative Center has delivered high-quality arts programming for over 30 years, integrating the arts into medical and community-based spaces for people living with cancer and chronic illness, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Our Hospital Artist-in-Residence Program delivers multidisciplinary arts programming to patients, caregivers, and staff within clinical environments. Through our Art Workshop Program, we provide free, ongoing visual, literary, and performing arts workshops both in person and online, supporting creative engagement and emotional well-being. We support older adults across the aging spectrum through Creative Aging initiatives in senior centers and community settings, fostering agency, connection, and cognitive engagement.

We are also committed to professionalization of the field, and host an annual Training Institute for artists, clinicians, educators, and administrators working at the intersection of arts and healthcare. The program provides evidence-informed instruction, applied learning, and field-based frameworks to support the design and delivery of high-quality arts-in-health and Creative Aging programs.
