![]() STRIDESTRIDE is a free SONYC after-school and paid summer school program located at the Houston Street Center for kids in grades 6 through 8, featuring fitness, tutoring, arts courses, field trips and more. Our SONYC middle-school program is currently recruiting for fall! That's free, top-notch after-school, five days a week, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. To learn more, come to one of our orientation sessions on Tuesdays in September, 6 to 8 p.m. After-school and summer camp programs are an essential resource for many working families – and the Houston Street Center knows that your child needs to be engaged and challenged in order to grow. STRIDE provides excitement and learning through after-school and summer camp programs for kids and young adults in middle school and high school. We want to teach our STRIDE kids to think critically, exercise independent decision-making and develop healthy social interactions with their peers. STRIDE also offers a Department of Health-licensed day camp, which engages youth in grades 3-8 in summer programming that nurtures their development into successful, well-rounded individuals. Students will learn about different cultures, environments, lifestyles, and much more during the summer program.
