Beacon Students Participate in Lowline Designers Workshop

Our Beacon students participated in the Lowline's Young Designers Program at the Mark Miller Gallery in the Lower East Side. The Lowline exhibit reveals what may become of the abandoned Williamsburg Trolley Terminal - located on the Lower East Side - once it is equipped with parabolic solar dishes and fiber optic cables, which will be used to transport solar radiation from the surface to the park to enable subterranean photosynthesis. The Young Designers Program showcased the student's 3-D models, as well as photos and audio interviews documenting the process.
