Check out our 2014 Spring Season!

University Settlement's Performance Project is a public performance project that finds concrete ways to reestablish and articulate the importance of the arts within the education system and the community at large. Performances include established, new and emerging artists. We are committed to creatively incorporating artists into programming at University Settlement, including our after-school programs, The Door, the Houston Street Center and the Beacon. Artists can work with specific programs or age groups and propose participant workshops, professional development trainings, community events or interactive art making experiences.

The Construction Company presents dances by three dynamic and distinguished New York City choreographers: Sally Bowden, Sally Gross and Sally Silvers.  These three Sallies helped to reinvent dance in the 60s and 70s and are still actively progressing the art form today. Experience each of the choreographers performing original solos of their own work and join us for a look back at Sally Gross's repertoire with dancers Jamie Di Mare, Heather Lee and Tanja Meding.  Take a step towards Sally Silver's next big project, Confection Size, which explores the films and motifs of Alfred Hitchcock and stars Dylan Crossman and Melissa Toogood, with a sound score by Bruce Andrews.
