It tells the story of these American citizens becoming "The Other," when the Constitution is disregarded, and "I" and "You" become "Them". Layering video with sound scores from the US naturalization test, government reports, and interviews of the internees with original music and movement, Them tells this shameful chapter in American history in the words of the people who were there in hopes that we do not repeat our mistakes. |
