In 1988, the gates of the Former Soviet Union (FSU) opened, allowing people to leave and settle into another country. This documentary focuses on those who immigrated with their families to the United States as children or teenagers, from late 1980s to the mid 1990s. Currently in their 20s and 30s, these subjects, who were considered to be Jewish in the FSU and are considered to be Russian in the USA, explore their Russian-Jewish identity and what it means to them. This project is part of COJECO BluePrint Fellowship funded by the UJA-Federation of New York and Genesis Philanthropy Group.
