How You Can Support Early Childhood Educators

Jun 3, 2019 |

In collaboration with Campaign for Children and other partners, we're pulling out all the stops this week and next to make our voices heard as we fight for salary parity for our dedicated and talented early childhood staff.

Participate in a Twitter rally on Tuesday, June 4. Sample tweets can be found here.

Call and email the mayor and your Councilmember(s) on Thursday, June 5. Instructions are here.

Rally at Tweed Courthouse (52 Chambers Street, Manhattan) on Thursday, June 6 at 1PM
Teachers, directors, advocates and elected officials will gather in Lower Manhattan on the afternoon of June 6th for a rally and press conference to call on Mayor de Blasio to address salary parity in the FY 2020 Adopted Budget.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for further details.

A postcard campaign for parents is being organized so that parents can send a message to the Mayor in support of salary parity for their children's teachers.

Postcards will be delivered to the Mayor's office by red wagon at the Campaign for Children (C4C) Rally at City Hall on Thursday, June 13th at 3:00 pm. If you would like to join us for the rally, see flyer below.

Please have your signed postcards given to you by your neighborhood center mailed to the address below by Tuesday, June 11th.

If you're not a parent but still want to get involved, you can submit a letter to Mayor Bill de Blasio to ensure all early childhood educators benefit from salary parity.
