Art Exhibition Opening: Difference Frequencies

October 2, 2015
6-8 p.m.
The Houston Street Center
273 Bowery

Please join us for an extraordinary exhibition of work created by Anthony Ptak, artist, performer, musician, composer, brain cancer survivor, disabilities advocate and Creative Center participant and his seven-year old son, Aeden, who was born with Down Syndrome.

The Creative Center brings the creative arts to people with cancer, chronic illnesses, and through all stages of life. The program provides all of its current arts-in-healthcare programming in hospitals, other healthcare settings and on-site at the Houston Street Center, as well as throughout its national replication and training project.

This exhibition is a testament to their resilience, creativity, and the deep bonds that they share. Both have used pencil, pen, paint, paper and technology to express themselves. They declare themselves - to each other and the world - as independently mindful individuals who constantly seek out opportunities for communication and development.

Refreshments will be served.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Please RSVP by contacting Marna at All guests must sign in at the University Settlement front desk.
