Clinical Social Worker- School Based (Pro- rated)

The Clinical Social Worker provides mental health services to children and their families utilizing a variety of treatment modalities on-site at Satellite School location. In this role, you will provide case management as linkage referrals, as needed, and maintain appropriate documentation of all services rendered. You will provide services to clients during school hours (5 days a week for 10 months). You have an awareness of and respect for diversity of culture, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. This position is pro-rated to follow the Board of Education's 10-months school calendar.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provide mental health services to a caseload of clients in individual, group, collateral, and family modalities
  • Accept referrals from school social workers, guidance counselors and whomever principal deem appropriate
  • Utilize computerized treatment systems (AWARDS) for all aspects of client record-keeping/charting
  • Coordinate intake evaluations
  • Write daily progress notes, treatment plans, and quarterly treatment summaries for all individuals on caseload
  • Develop measurable treatment goals with an action plan and completion time frame on a quarterly basis
  • Provides emergency coverage on a rotating basis, to current clients as per program policy guidelines
  • Record billable and non-billable visits/services daily
  • Fulfill all documentation required by program and Department of Education for funding purposes
  • Participate in weekly case conferences and supervision
  • Participate in community-building activities and encourage participants to support these activities
  • Ability to provide services at the Consultation Center or with the CFTTS program when school is closed

What We Are Looking For:

  • You have a LMSW/LCSW and experience working with children / youth and families.
  • You have 1+ years of post-graduate experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, including effective decision-making and problem-solving experience
  • You thrive in a busy environment and able to shift gears when needed.
  • A huge plus if you are bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Mandarin
  • You have a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
