Greet Our New Street!
University Settlement has been a vital change maker on the Lower East Side for 125 years. While our services have expanded to 21 locations throughout New York City, our home remains on Eldridge Street - and now we have a great way of recognizing it: with our own co-named street! Join us on Friday, January 20 at 11:00AM for a very special celebration as we unveil the new street sign and take a few moments to thank our friends on City Council and Community Board 3 who helped make this happen. The ceremony will include a traditional Lion Dance performed by White Crane, followed by refreshments inside our historic headquarters at 184 Eldridge Street.
