Position:

Clinical Supervisor

Overview:

The Early Head Start and Head Start Program provides comprehensive child and family development services through home visits, center-based classrooms and case management. The program provides family support services and advocacy to low-income pregnant women and families with children birth to five.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the family service staff in developing and maintaining a high quality program in child development, health, nutrition, social services and parent involvement to meet the fullest needs of families served.
  • Oversee the development of an individualized family plan that will enhance the development of the child and promote a positive relationship between parent and child
  • Assist staff in assessing parent-child relationship and provide appropriate guidance acknowledging family and cultural influences
  • Administer developmental assessments for children and provide written reports to staff with anticipatory guidance and follow-up plan
  • Ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards regulations
  • Provide infant/mental health training and guidance to staff and families
  • Provide direct services to families through home visits and individual meetings with parents and staff
  • Maintain all necessary documentation
  • Assist in planning and evaluation of all program components with input from staff, parents, and community partners
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Masters in Social Work, Clinical or Developmental Psychology, Infant & Child Mental Health, or related field with specialization in social services to families with young children.
  • Five years experience working with families and children prenatal to three years of age
  • Three years experience supervising staff
  • Must have good organization, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to write and speak Spanish and/or Chinese preferred

Salary:

Commensurate with experience

Hours:

35 Hours per week
