Position:
Psychiatric Social Worker II
Supervisor: Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood
- Conduct pre-admission screenings
- Supervise the intake process. Ensure the Intake Log is updated
- Supervise social work interns
- Implement case management treatment plans
- Maintain reports, administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards, insure and comply with requirements and program policies
- Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals as necessary
- Advocate for patients with other community based organizations and governmental agencies as indicated
- Conduct home visits as necessary
- Obtain and monitor managed care authorizations
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings
- Learn and utilize computerized treatment and billing programs and implementation
- Demonstrate ability to engage new and resistive mental health clients
- Capacity to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an advanced degree in social work (MSW) preferred
- LCSW is required
- Three years+ of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with time limited treatment approaches preferred
- Experience with treating children preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese preferred
Salary:
Upper 40’s with a generous benefit package.
Hours:
Full time, 35 hrs. /week, some flex scheduling required
